About
Join the Marble Arch Caves Ranger, Dr Kate Crane, on a walk down the Cladagh Glen National Nature Reserve looking at the species of trees, where they're growing within this Karst landscape and how they've adapted to cope within this unique environment. Cladagh Glen is a steep-sided valley with shallow soils over limestone rock so, whilst the soils are fertile, the topography requires adaptations by the trees to make the most of their growing environment. Trees exhibit 'Body Language', visible responses to changes in their environment, and we will explore some of these within this ancient woodland.
