About

As part of our Pilgrim Trail, this is a paddle tour to Cleenish Island to visit the monastic sight on the island.

The monastery was founded by St. Sinnell around 550AD and was where St. Columbanus was a scholar. The paddle is by canoe which can be rafted to accommodate families with young children. A brief talk on the history of the island will be given and an opportunity to have a picnic on the beautiful shores of Lough Erne.

Paddle length in total is 3 miles, with the trip lasting 4 hrs.
