Ruth McGinley was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Irish Music where she studied with John O’Conor; as well as winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has performed as soloist with the BBC Philharmonic, the London Mozart Players, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Ulster Orchestra.
In 1994 Ruth was awarded Young Musician of the Year. As well as this she has performed throughout Europe and the Middle East and at the BBC Proms at the Park. Ruth is no stranger to Enniskillen, and she was accompanist to Carolyn Dobbin in The Ardhowen as well as playing for the FLive Festival.
