Welcome to Our Built Heritage – Preservation and Recording Workshop!

Join us on Fri Mar 08 2024 at 10:00 AM for a day of learning and exploration at the beautiful Crom Estate - National Trust, Inishfrendra Room. This hands-on workshop will teach you all about the importance of preserving and recording our historic buildings and structures.

In the morning you will hear from Mr Thomas McErlean who will give an overview of the Historic Environment Division 2021-2022, Thatch Condition survey, with particular focus to Co Fermanagh. Before taking part in a practical session, of surveying and recording the vernacular on Crom Estate, Emma McBride (HED/Historic Environment Records of N.I (HERoNI) will outline the role of HERoNI and will take you through, step by step, the Historic Environment Mapviewer.
Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or just curious about our past, this event is perfect for you. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with our heritage and learn valuable skills in the process.
