About
The Lough Erne Landscape Partnership (LELP) is delighted to announce the launch of the Lough Erne Heritage Festival, taking place from 28th September to 5th October 2024. Made possible thanks to funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the festival will showcase the rich tapestry of the cultural, natural and built heritage of the Lough Erne area through a series of exciting events, activities, exhibitions, and workshops designed to highlight the region’s diverse heritage.
The Lough Erne Heritage Festival is a celebration of the Lough Erne Landscape Partnership and all it has achieved. This festival marks a special milestone as we celebrate all 44 projects that the Lough Erne Landscape Partnership has overseen since 2018, showcasing the impactful outcomes and community benefits realised over the years.
As part of the Festival we are pleased to work in partnership with the organisers of Fermanagh Live and Enniskillen Plein Arts Weekend and we are excited to host the Lough Erne Stillwaters Conference: A Meeting of Minds 2024, in partnership with the UK & Ireland Lakes Network, to explore topics related to freshwater management, including water quality, biodiversity, and sustainable practices.
The Festival Finale on Saturday, 05 October 2024, will take place in the form of a Festival Celebration Day, a celebration of the Lough Erne Landscape Partnership, at Enniskillen Castle and Broadmeadow on Saturday 5th October 2024, 10am – 4pm. This fun-filled day will host many activities showcasing the rich built, natural and cultural heritage of Lough Erne.
Join us for a week of exciting events, workshops, and performances that highlight the vibrant history and beautiful landscapes of the Lough Erne region.
