About

Explore the literature of authors William Carleton (1704 - 1869) and John Montague (1929 - 2016) on Saturday 2nd November. Delve into the themes of landscape, memory, exile and migration found in Carleton and Montague's work. Although the two Tyrone writers lived almost two hundred years apart, both portrayed rural life in a very profound way. Join Dr. Paddy Fitzgerald, Dr Liam Campbell and Liam Foley at this autumn school at the Mellon Centre for Migration Studies, in the grounds of the Ulster American Folk Park.
