About

Here at the Ulster American Folk Park, we're marking Indigenous History Month with a curator-led tour looking at the interactions between Ireland, Irish migrants and Indigenous Native Americans.

Our Curator of Emigration, Liam Corry, will explore early interactions between Indigenous People and colonists, and tell the stories of Ulster migrants featured in our museum that had connections with Indigenous people. This tour will also reflect on the reality that after centuries of oppression Indigenous People are still forming vibrant communities and remain present in society.

The Indigenous History Month tour will end with a look at our Murmurations art piece which had input from today's Indigenous Native American People.
