Talk & Tour at Inishmacsaint Church & Graveyard – Sunday, September 29th, 3:00 PM
Join us for a fascinating afternoon at Inishmacsaint Church as we explore the rich history of the Ely family and the church itself. Celebrating the success of the Inishmacsaint Parish Church Heritage and Environment Project in partnership with LELP, this special event will begin with the screening of a short video charting the history of the parish. Followed by a talk outlining the progress of the heritage project.
Following this, local historian Richard will present an engaging talk on the Ely family, whose history is closely tied to this church and the surrounding area. Richard has previously given this talk to groups of visitors from the museum, and we are excited to have him share his knowledge with us during this event.
After the talks, attendees are invited to take part in a self-guided tour of the church and graveyard, where they can explore key historical landmarks at their own pace with guides on hand for extra information.
