About
Lisnaskea Historical Society invites you to an evening of local history as guest speaker Roland Eadie shares the story of the Henderson & Eadie Woollen Mill, once a cornerstone of County Fermanagh's industry. Operating from 1858 to 1965, the mill was a major employer in the region, with its renowned tweeds reaching top fashion houses in Paris.
Roland Eadie, great-grandson of co-founder John Eadie, is also the author of The Lisbellaw Woollen Mill (2023), a comprehensive history of the mill. He will bring its past to life with personal insights, historical details, and fascinating anecdotes.
In addition, Roland will share the story of a unique piece of local motoring history—the first vehicle number plate issued in County Fermanagh (IL1), which he still uses today.
Don't miss this engaging talk on a key chapter of Fermanagh's past.
Refreshments included with admission.
We look forward to seeing you there!
