Festival Celebration Day – celebrating the rich built, natural and cultural heritage of Lough Erne!

The Lough Erne Landscape Partnership (LELP) is delighted to invite visitors and the local community to its Festival Celebration Day, taking place on Saturday, 5th October 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Enniskillen Castle and Broadmeadow. This special event marks a major milestone for the LELP as it celebrates the success of 44 projects that have transformed the Lough Erne region since 2018, and celebrates the end of the Lough Erne Heritage Festival (www.fermanaghlakelands.com/LEHF).
What to Expect: From 10am - 4pm enjoy,
Heritage Displays & Stands provided by LELP Partners and more.
Workshops & Demonstrations focused on local heritage craft and forgotten skills of the past.
Live Music & Performances from the Hand Me Downs, The Porter Bellys, Double Parked, Paddy Treacy, local dance groups, a pop-up choir, and a Mummers Ball.
Artisan Market filled with local providers and eateries.
“Honour the Erne” Water Parade showcasing the groups who regularly use Lough Erne, celebrating the importance of the Lough to the local community.
Vintage Vehicle Displays from local groups, and agricultural machinery.
Family-friendly activities including arts and crafts, heritage games, and more.
Heritage Demonstrations: Watch live demonstrations of traditional crafts and skills that have been passed down through generations.
Best of all, admission is completely FREE! Everyone is encouraged to come and celebrate with those who helped realise the success and achievements of the Lough Erne Landscape Partnership. Bring the whole family; there is something for everyone. “Olde tyme” dress is encouraged!
PLEASE NOTE: Free courtesy bus will be running between Stuarts Car Park (next to Craigville Garden Centre) to the Enniskillen Castle Car Park from 10am to 5pm.
