Nature art fits well with our club health and wellbeing and "Take 5" ethos as it is naturally provides opportunity for self-expression and communication of ideas and emotions. Paddlesports activities, with coaching and learning through fun "games with aims", led by our friendly, experienced and qualified coaches who have a genuine passion for canoeing, outdoor education and child development. Outdoor activities are where kids have some of the best formative experiences of their young lives, learning while having fun and making new friends.
No previous paddling experience is required. These courses are great for water confidence and no swimming ability is required. Our coaches will always be in direct supervision of the activities and buoyancy aids will be properly fitted and checked for all participants.
Equipment
We will provide all the paddlesport and safety equipment you need; kayaks/canoes, etc, paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets.
The only thing we can't supply is your personal paddling wear. For this course, normal outdoor clothes suitable for the prevailing weather (tracksuit, fleeces or walking clothes and waterproofs, including shoes to get wet) are perfectly fine. If you have a wetsuit, that's great, please feel free to wear it, but it is not necessary for this event.
A full set of dry clothes including shoes and a towel are essential to bring for your comfort and safety.
All art materials will also be provided.
Please apply/supply sun screen as necessary.
All children must bring a packed lunch, snacks and something to drink.
