American Independence Weekend Celebrations

Ulster American Folk Park, 2 Mellon Rd, Omagh BT78 5QU, Omagh, Tyrone, BT78 5QU
American Independence Weekend at the Ulster American Folk Park

About

Come along to our American Independence celebrations on 6th & 7th July at the Folk Park. Discover what it was like for emigrants who left Ulster and arrived in America just as they declared independence.

Watch the reading of the 'Act of Independence' on American Street, see demonstrations of traditional skills and try tasty food samples like cherry & almond cake or succotash. There'll be live music on the frontier, face painting, air rifle shooting range, plus entertainment for kids (& big kids) alike including 'Punch and Judy' and magic shows.

Make sure to grab a bite to eat at 'BBQ in the Park', put on by Lilly Anne's Café!

What to know

Even though this is a 4th July celebration, this event will take place on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th July from 10:00 to 17:00.
