Lady of the Lake Festival: A Celebration of Community and Fun

Welcome to the 45th Lady of the Lake Festival in Irvinestown, running from July 11th to July 21st! This annual celebration is packed with events for all ages, combining sports, music, and community activities. Here’s a condensed guide to help you navigate the festivities:

Thursday, July 11

• Morning: Pool, Badminton, and Table Tennis Competitions at Bawnacre Centre for primary school kids (11 AM) and teens (2 PM, 3:30 PM).
• Evening:
  • TikTok star Black Paddy in the MONSTER Burger Eating Competition (7:30 PM).
  • Live music on Main Street by Hard to Beat (7:30 PM).
  • Official Opening Ceremony with marching bands, street entertainment, and the arrival of Lady of the Lake 2023 (8 PM).
  • Music at various venues including Pilots Nook Bar, Mahon’s Hotel, Molly’s Bar, and Sissy McGintys (from 8 PM).

Friday, July 12

• Annual 12th Celebrations: Parades and entertainment starting at Necarne Castle (morning).
• Evening: Music and a disco at Pilots Nook Bar, Castle Archdale Holiday Park, and Mahon’s Hotel (8 PM onwards).

Saturday, July 13

• Morning: Clay Pigeon Shoot at Lettermoney (12 PM).
• Afternoon: Open Day at Masonic Hall (1 PM), Bonny Baby Competition (2:30 PM), Pet Show (3 PM), and a charity run (6 PM).
