The Skewbald is set on an elevated site on farmland belonging to a private equestrian property. Our vintage horse lorry has been converted into a cosy luxurious and peaceful space. It enjoys views of rural Fermanagh farmland and Cuilagh Mountain. As it is on a private equestrian property it leads to the option of renting a stable and bringing your equine friend to enjoy Fermanagh on horseback. It is a short distance from many tourist attractions, including Stairway to Heaven, Marble Arch Caves and others.
The space
The Skewbald is a lovingly restored horse lorry. We have restored and decorated it using reclaimed materials in keeping with its era. We hope you will appreciate the attention to detail, vintage pieces and all the love that was put into creating this authentic, cosy quest accommodation for two people. The skewbald has its own en-suite with shower wash hand basin and toilet.
Guest access
The quests will have access to the horse lorry and outdoor space with bbq, fire pit table and chairs. The skewbald also has a lovely gallery area to sit and enjoy your favourite tipple on a nice evening. Towels, bed linen, hand wash and shower gel are supplied as well tea coffee salt pepper cooking equipment and cutlery.
